Seb - New Year, Looking Forward...

We are busy taking bookings for this Summer, which I'm sure I'm not alone in saying cannot come quick enough!

The Christmas period reminded me how special family moments and time spent together is, especially with my sister giving birth to her first child - making me a second uncle! My older brother Alex is getting married to his lovely fiance Victoria in Fortingall, Scotland in the summer, which I am most looking forward to capturing!

Expect new blog posts every Friday from now on, and be sure to follow us on Facebook for more updates.

Seb - King's Singers at Christ's Hospital School, October 2014

I did a great deal of photography work in my time attending Christ's Hospital school in Horsham, West Sussex as a pupil. I was privileged enough to get the opportunity to work with the King's Singers when they ran a workshop for the school choir, followed by a full concert.

The King's Singers certainly lived up to their reputation, their voices filled the chapel during the concert beautifully. It was a pleasure to meet and work with them!

The concert was followed by a formal meet-and-greet function in the school's 'Court Room' attended by the singers, the choir and the VIP concert guests. It was an honour to attend the evening, and I thoroughly enjoyed talking to the guests and capturing the atmosphere!

Seb - Rob & Grace Furnell's Wedding, October 2014

Our good friends Robert and Grace invited myself and Nick to photograph their wedding day on the beautiful island of Sark in the Channel Islands, back in October 2014. It was after this that myself and Nick formed Woven, and here we are!

We spent 2 nights on the island, spending the first day getting familiar with the venue, and meeting with Rob and Grace to get the full schedule for their big day. The evening was spent making sure the Reception venue was all set up.

Sark was absolutely beautiful, and all the locals were super friendly and willing to help myself and Nick find our way around the small island.

Getting the day off to an early start, Nick went to capture Rob and his groomsmen getting ready and making their way to the church, while I went to take pictures of Grace and her bridesmaids doing their make-up and finishing touches, take pictures of the rings, and Grace making her way to the Church with her father.

After the ceremony, Nick and I went with Rob and Grace to their favourite spot on the island to get a couple of pictures of the newlyweds, riding in an ornate horse-drawn carriage.

The reception venue was beautiful, a large marquee set up in a clearing within a foresty estate garden. Rob and Grace had made many of the decorations themselves to a 1920's theme, transforming the marquee into a lovely venue, with warm blue fairy lights, chandeliers, a sweets bar and a drinks bar.

Wonderful food and a lively night of dancing and cheer ensued.

Our best wishes go out to Rob and Grace for the future, as well as our thanks for sharing your special day with us!

Introduction - Seb

Welcome to our website and my first blog post!

I co-founded Woven with Nick back in October 2014 after we worked on Robert and Grace's wedding together, realising we make a great team. For me, Woven is a way to share my passion and talent for photography with you, and I take pride in doing so.

Photography drew me in about 5 years ago, just taking pictures of nature on my phone and spent 2 years saving for my first, and current, DSLR camera and I'm lucky enough to have spent the last 3 years using it to capture and share images with people across the World.

Expect to see updates on the stories and wonderful people featured in our work.
